We understand that customers may need to cancel their orders, but we kindly request that cancellations be kept to a minimum. Excessive cancellations affect our inventory and future pricing. Please carefully review your order details before making payment to minimize cancellations. Once an order is cancelled, it cannot be restored, and customers will need to place a new order for any items they still wish to purchase. If cancelled items are no longer available, we cannot restock them. We reserve the right to limit or close accounts of customers who abuse our cancellation policy. While we accept cancellations in most cases, there are rare instances where we may be forced to cancel your order due to force majeure circumstances, such as strict customs regulations in your country or if your order is flagged as a risky payment status. However, rest assured that if such a cancellation is necessary, Japan With Love will proactively inform you. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth ordering process.
Regarding cancellations, we have two cases:
1) Pre-Order Cancellation: For pre-orders, there are specific responsibilities and fees involved. Cancellations made up to 7 days before the release date will incur a 10% cancellation fee, and cancellations after this deadline will have a 15% cancellation fee for the pre-ordered item(s). If the release date is delayed, free cancellation is not available as the order has already been placed and paid for. We cannot interfere with the manufacturing company's release process.
2) Order Cancellation for "Processing" Status: We accept cancellations for "Processing" orders within 24 hours of payment, with a 5% flat fee deducted from the refunded amount to cover a transaction fee to our payment gateways (Shopify Payment or Stripe) because these fees are not refundable once a payment is captured by system. After 24 hours, a 10% fee applies to cover additional handling costs. Therefore, we kindly ask you to review the order status carefully before contacting us for processing. It is essential to act swiftly within the 24-hour window to ensure successful cancellation.
